Matrescent Sista™ is a maternal education, support group, and social circle program that provides support, training, education, and resources to mamas, the professionals supporting them, and the surrounding community.  

The Matrescent Sista™ Program uses the power of education, sistahood, and support to advance maternal health and wellness outcomes through mamas, communities, and professionals.

  • Matrescent Sista™ for Matrescent Mamas

    Offers maternal education, including perinatal mental health, wellness, and parenting topics, as well as sister circles, support groups, and social events.

  • Matrescent Sista™ for Community+

    Provides education and training in perinatal mental health, wellness, and parenthood topics for community-level partners such as families, friends, and the larger community.

  • Matrescent Sista™ for Professionals

    Provides professional development and continuing education opportunities in maternal health and wellness-related topics.

Matrescent Sista™ Maternal Mental Health Training for the Matrescent Community+

Using the Matrescent Sista™ Model, this workshop was created for partners, family, friends, and community members. They will be granted the opportunity to explore topics such as perinatal mental health, wellness, and parenthood in an informative and supportive environment that equips them with important tools to provide support to mamas, or matrescents, and themselves during the perinatal period.

Matrescent Sista™ Maternal Mental Health Workshop for Matrescent Mamas

This workshop aims to empower our matrescent mamas with the knowledge, skills, and support needed to prioritize their mental well-being during the perinatal period. Through interactive sessions and discussions, participants will explore strategies for managing stress, fostering resilience, seeking support, and more!

Matrescent Sista™ Introduction to Maternal Health Workshop for Matrescent Mamas, Community+, and Professionals Webinar

This webinar is designed to help mamas, their communities, and the professionals who support them increase their knowledge and understanding of birth trauma and maternal mental health, broadening their overview of the psychosocial, sociodemographic, and physical elements of maternal mortality, birth trauma, and maternal mental health, and allowing professionals to explore practical ways to support birthing individuals and families as practitioners.
